African Students Association (ASA)
The African Students Association is a cultural organization with an African and Afro-American focus that informs students of St. John's University about the continent of Africa. It brings the African and non-African students of St. John's University together as we celebrate, learn about and discuss issues that concern our continent. We, as an Organization, host incoming international students from Africa, help them adjust to the American culture and education system, and do our best to mentor them for their first years in the American community setting.


Caribbean Students Association (CSA)




Caribbean Students Association is the organization responsible for promoting the cultural aspects of Caribbean heritage to the St. John's University campus. This is education on various areas of Caribbean culture including festivals, music, food, clothing and the history of the number of islands that constitutes the Caribbean. 

C.S.A. is not only dedicated to educating students about Caribbean culture, but also to make Caribbean students and anyone interested in the culture, feel welcomed at St. John's University. They will be able to find a home in C.S.A., where members will be able to assist them in their endeavors at St. John's University. C.S.A. also promotes academic responsibility amongst members, ensuring that each member is integrally involved on campus, whilst simultaneously sustaining academic excellence.



Haitian Society


We, the members of Haitian Society in order to promote cultural enrichment, enlightenment, unity and growth among St. John's and the Pan-African Community. As Haitian Society, we serve as an active voice for all students.


Latin American Students Organization (LASO)

Latino American Student Organization otherwise known as L.A.S.O. is a place for all Latinos and non-Latinos in St John's who want to belong to the most united organization on campus. To make a difference and to continue to grow helping each other succeed. Everyone is welcome to join us! Officially one of the BIG TEN organizations on campus!

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)


The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.

Vision Statement
The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race.

Objectives
The following statement of objectives is found on the first page of the NAACP Constitution. The principal objectives of the Association shall be:

To ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of all citizens
To achieve equality of rights and eliminate race prejudice among the citizens of the United States
To remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes
To seek enactment and enforcement of federal, state, and local laws securing civil rights
To inform the public of the adverse effects of racial discrimination and to seek its elimination
To educate persons as to their constitutional rights and to take all lawful action to secure the exercise thereof, and to take any other lawful action in furtherance of these objectives, consistent with the NAACP's Articles of Incorporation and this Constitution.
